Studies have shown that color palettes, repetitive motions, and simple focused-based tasks have been able to reduce the anxiety and stress inside of the autistic Spectrum mindset. In the same vein video game designers have been using those same tools to create exciting and uptempo variations of gameplay and entertainment.

Prediction of this project will be to help players define a relaxing game play within the visual component, and offer a little more proof and incentive for making a new genre.

This concept of opening up a new genre is more about offering a specific window to tools and therapy options through video games. With this as an actual labeled genre, developers can utilize the research into similar therapeutic methodology. While being significant to devs, the genre will also offer a way to index these titles for players and health care professionals as well. Through this connection, developers and researchers can coordinate future understanding of mental wellness.

The idea of meditative practices have lbeen shown to improve ones focus and stress levels, and with video games considered by studies to be a means of stress relief, it stands to question why there are no video games based purely relaxing motives? Meditation has been scientifically to reduce stress and sharpen the mental acuity. Video games have could somebody actually find themselves in a position to relax if they were caught in a very confined space that only force them to succeed?

Video games have stigma of violence, addiction, an overall a bad name. This argument created even more of a noise when these concepts are applied to the minds of those dealing with ASD or ADHD. (?? predisposed with addictive mindsets. ??). There is some research on how games can be challenging and stimulating, these being the same things as to why they are played. There are some games and competition which can bring the sweaty palms and stressed moments. There is also a small amount of research suggesting games could be relaxing. The studies discovered positive results stating more research needs to be done.

This last past week, I have continued working on organizing the 45-hour review and my assets for the gallery. I've actually even sent an application in without remembering my proper gallery website is completely destroyed because of the update a month ago. So I had to share my thesis website project which means I probably won't get the job because the art there won't relate to the work I'm doing. Or that they're looking for. Excuse me, they're looking for 2D artists number 3 orders.

Let's see. The week of the 10th, I managed to get a couple of key scripts built, which really allowed me to step away from the actual visual component design and system building, and put my focus back into creating and managing the written component.
